Biography

Francisca Román Toro (1981) is a Theater Designer, Costume Designer and Audiovisual Art Director. She has a Bachelor of Arts with a mention in Theater Design from the University of Chile. She has 20 years of experience in film and television, specializing mainly in fiction projects related to the history of Chile under the dictatorship, marking her stamp on the construction of collective memory through the image of the body. It has several national and international projects, movies like La Nana, No, Oblivion Verses, Blanquita and TV series like Dignidad, Ecos del desierto, Los 80s. He teaches film students, teaching Art Direction and Costume, for the University of Chile, Arcos Institute and Universidad del Desarrollo. He is currently a member and jury of the Chilean Film Academy.
